Botanical Series

Living in the lush Pacific Northwest, I am surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. My Botanical pieces are a reflection of this environment, capturing the essence of plants, flowers, and trees through two distinct processes: creating prints for collage or painting directly onto substrates.

The print and collage process feels meditative, similar to assembling a puzzle. Each piece is placed deliberately, one at a time, allowing me to step away and return as if finding the perfect piece for a puzzle left on a dining room table. This approach offers a sense of calm and flexibility.

Through these works, I seek the healing power of nature, while embracing the beauty of the flora that surrounds us in a way that feels both intimate and restorative.
